Economic Community of Western African States (ECOWAS) and Türkiye economic relations

Countries make economic cooperation and free trade agreements in order to benefit from the benefits of international trade. Many international agreements are also taking place in Africa. One of them is the structure called ECOWAS. It is clear that economic integration and economic partnership agreements will create a series of policy problems for West African or ECOWAS countries as they gradually transform economies into a global economy. However, Economic associations provide an opportunity to follow the global trade and regional integration agenda in ECOWAS countries. In this study, the structure of ECOWAS will be revealed and then its economic relations with Türkiye will be examined.
