Abstract (EN)
Different tillage techniques are used in agricultural production in Turkey. Although the most used method in agricultural production is traditional tillage agricultural production systems, it has been observed that the applications of conservation tillage agricultural production systems have become widespread in both second product and first product agriculture in recent years. The most important of these are agricultural production systems with reduced tillage and agricultural production systems with no tillage. Protective and no-tillage agricultural production systems have begun to be widely used in grain and silage corn, especially in second crop agriculture. In addition, in order to popularize these practices, activities to disseminate these methods are intensively carried out by relevant public institutions, non-governmental organizations and relevant private sector organizations. In this study, the situation in first and second product grain and silage corn plantings between 2018-2022 was examined. This analysis was examined for first and second product corn agriculture at the level of Batman province and districts in the Southeastern Region and the provinces of the Southeastern Region and the Southeastern Region for the last five-year period. Data in corn agriculture were examined based on agricultural area, production and efficiency. As a result of this research, the highest IÜMA (Second product corn agricultural area) / BÜMA (First product corn agricultural area) * 100 values for corn plantings for 2022 were determined in Şırnak province and then in Mardin province. This shows that second crop corn plantings in the region are very popular among farmers. Especially second crop corn cultivation has become quite common in the region. The effect of research on protective tillage systems in the Southeastern Anatolia Region and different regions of Turkey has a very important place in the formation of this situation. It is predicted that these production values will increase further with the increase in conservation agriculture practices such as reduced tillage agriculture and stubble planting in second-crop corn agriculture and the resulting decrease in production costs.
