Abstract (EN)
Job satisfaction is the state of emotional gladness which is created by the experience that is related to a person?s job in the workplace and by the values he attributes to the job. This research has been made so as to examine the managers?, who are working in the state and private hospitals in Batman city center, job satisfaction level and to examine the factors which influence job satisfaction levels.The frame of this research, which is a cross-sectional and definitive research, is composed of all of the managers working in state hospitals and private hospitals (120 people) in Batman city center. All of the frame comes under the research. 101 of them has been reached (Responding rate: 84.16%) Data of the research; in the first part there are questions related to evaluation of managers? demographical qualifications and in the second and third parts there are questions related to job satisfation levels and factors influencing job satisfaction levels. Analysis of the data has been made by using t test and single direction variance analysis.Of the managers who are in the extent of the research, 64.4% are male, 35.6% are female and their average of age is 36.87±7.48. 77.2% of them are married and 41.6 % have bachelors degree. 43.6% of the managers work in the public hospitals while 56.4% of them work in private hospitals. 47.5% of them work temporarily (on contract), while 52.5% of them are regular staff. When job satisfaction points of the managers who are included in the research are compared according to the gender, it has been found out that male managers?total job satisfaction point (153.56±14.31) is higher than female managers? average point of job satisfaction (147.58±14.83) and an important statistical difference has been found in the managers? sub-dimension of promotion and advance and communication of job satisfaction subscale according to their gender (p<0.05). When managers? organisation in which they are work and their job satisfaction point was compared, it was seen that total job satisfaction point of the managers working in private hospitals (154.28±15.63) is higher than the total job satisfaction point of the managers working in public hospitals (147.75±12.669) and statistically significant differences have been found between state hospitals and private hospitals in the sub-dimensions of job satisfaction and in the advance and line relationships sub-dimensions (p<0.05).Consequently, it is seen that in this research managers? working in Batman city center have got the highest job satisfaction point in line relationship subscale and they have got the lowest job satisfaction point in prizes and encouragement subscale. In accordance with this kind of research, it can be thought to make recuperative studies aimed at prizes and encouragement as the factors increasing the managers? job satisfaction levels.Keywords: Hospital Manager, Job Satisfaction, Factors influencing Job Satisfaction
