Abstract (EN)

In the study, it was aimed to reveal the morphological characteristics, resistance to some diseases, yield and some quality characteristics of 20 Charleston pepper lines. As a result of the observations and evaluations carried out in the pepper lines in the study; It was determined that the anthocyanine formation in the hypocotyl was absent in all 20 lines, the fruit stance was drooping, the fruit longitudinal cross-section shape was narrow triangular and fruit flavor was sweet. In the study, it was determined that 2 lines (Ch 2 and Ch 17) were resistant to Tobacco mosaic virus and 6 lines (Ch 1, Ch 4, Ch 8, Ch 13, Ch 17 and Ch 18) were resistant to the Tomato spotted wilt virüs. As a result of the study, the fruit width, fruit length, average fruit weight, yield per plant, amount of ascorbic acid, total amount of phenolic substances, total and reducing sugar amounts of pepper lines, were varied respectively between 3.28 and 4.43 cm, 16.03 and 22.03 cm, 25.58 and 88.30 g, 346.3 and 3481.7 g/plant, 74.39 and 101.02 mg/100 g, 46.30 and 78.55 mg/100 g, 6.28 and 14.24 mg/g and 2.73 and 6.15 mg/g.
