Determining and comparing the anxiety level of working women and non-working women living in Beylikdüzü district in terms of coping methods with stress and analyzing them in terms of sociodemographic methods

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between anxiety levels and methods of coping with stress in working and non-working women, and to investigate how these scales differ in terms of demographic characteristics. This research was carried out with the relational screening method. The sample of the study consisted of working and non-working individuals between the ages of 18-65 living in the estates located in the Cumhuriyet Mahallesi of Beylikdüzü District of Istanbul. The data of this research were collected by applying the Personal Information Form', the 'Beck Anxiety Scale' and the 'Coping with Stress Scale' created by the researcher to determine the sociodemographic information of the participants. The data obtained from the research were first analyzed with the SPSS program controlled. T-test analysis was used to test whether the means of two independent groups differed from each other in data showing normal distribution. In the study, the relationships between the variables were examined with Pearson Moment Multiplication Correlation analysis. According to the findings of the study, it was found that men's depression scores were lower than women's depression scores and that men's coping scores were higher than women's. In addition, it was concluded that there is a moderately negative and statistically significant relationship between depression and Coping with Stress scores.
