Abstract (EN)
The main purpose of the research is to examine the relationship between whistleblowing and political games. The research was designed in the relational screening model. The research population consists of teachers working in public primary schools in Antakya district of Hatay province in the 2020-2021 academic year. The research data were obtained with the "Whistleblowing Scale", "Political Games Perception Scale" and "Personal Information Form". While analyzing the data, descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Pearson Product-Moment correlation analysis were used. As a result of the research, teachers' whistleblowing is high in internal, confidential and supportive whistleblowing dimensions; They were found to be moderate in the dimension of external whistleblowing. In addition, no statistically significant difference was found in terms of gender and educational status variables in teachers' views on whistleblowing; It was determined that there was a statistically significant difference in terms of marital status, branch, age and seniority variables. It was determined that the highest average in the political games was in the dimension of alliance building, and the lowest average was in the dimension of the young Turks game. There is no statistically significant difference in the opinions of teachers about political games according to the branch variable; It was determined that there was a statistically significant difference in terms of gender, marital status, education level, age and seniority variables. A statistically positive and moderately significant relationship was found between whistleblowing and political games. To prevent unethical incidents, it is recommended to include political games in in-service trainings in order to create policies that will encourage whistleblowing in schools and to predict conflicts that may arise from political games.
