A review of folklore issues discussed i̇n Bilig journal

In our thesis titled A Study on Folklore Issues in the Journal of Bilig , Bilig magazine, which started publication in 1996, was examined. A study was conducted on the subjects of folklore in Bilig magazine and this study was made considering all the issues that were presented to readers for twenty-three years, including the 89th issue of the journal published in April 2019. In the first part of our study on the subjects of folklore in Bilig magazine, the history of journalism is mentioned and then comprehensive information about Bilig magazine is given. In this section, the reason, purpose and publication policy of Bilig are mentioned. Europe in the 17th century and beginning of the development process in the history of the 19th century, the prevalence winning journalism activities in Turkey were examined in general. In the second part of our study, articles about folklore in the journal were evaluated and divided into common titles according to their subjects. The articles in these titles have been examined and related information has been given. The subjects in the second chapter were of importance for Turkish culture and literature. The articles in the magazine cover the culture and beliefs of different Turkish communities from today and yesterday. The articles provided are a source for seeing the common and deep-rooted Turkish heritage. In the third part of the study, the articles, author names and page numbers in the journal are given, and short notes about which topics are mentioned are deducted. The articles in the third section cover the years 1996-2019. As of June, when our study was completed, the 89th issue is a section that will benefit all of the articles published in the Bilig magazine. In the conclusion section, the contribution of the magazine to Turkish culture was mentioned and inferences were made about the cultural partnerships of Turkish societies.
