Abstract (EN)

Hadith scholars are agreed that the narrators, who are the carriers of hadiths, the main sources of religion, should have certain qualifications. Probity is at the forefront of these qualities. Probity, on the other hand, is generally considered the opposite of fisq and means that the narrator is not sinful. According to this, fisq means disobeying Allah and is an umbrella concept that includes lies, innovations and sin. However, in the current hadith methodology, which is current today, it is used to mean that the narrator is sinful. In this study, it has been tried to determine the approach of hadith scholars to the concept of fisq and the place of this concept in the jarh and ta'dîl as a jarh term. First of all, the approaches of the hadith scholars to the concept of fisq were revealed based on the works of hadith method, and then the books of rijal were consulted to determine how much the critics used in the criticism of the narrators. Thus, the definition of fisq of the narrator as a jarh term and its place in the jarh and ta'dîl are determined.
