Abstract (EN)

Working in a University Hospital Nurses Perceive the Quality of Work Life and Commitment to the Organization and States The aim of this research is to examine the relationship between quality of work life and commitment to the organization of nurses. The research has done among 163 nurses who have been working the Ankara Başkent University Hospital at least one year in the institution. Datum are collected using the scale of the work quality of life and the scale of the organization's commitment. The data collection form is made up of 3 parts; in the first chapter, there are thirteen different questions which are aimed to determine the specific features of nurses?, quality of work life and working conditions, second part consists of thirtyfive questions which is specified about the quality of professional lifeand at last third chapter composed of fourteen questions to signify the commitment to the organization. In total, there are sixtytwo questions. In the research, evoluation of the data and preparation of tables are done by using SPSS 15.0 program and evaluation operations. Evoluated results are presented as average and standard deviation. Frequence and percentage values are used for categorization parameters ( ex. demografik özellikler, gender, marital status) Student?s test, one-way analysis of variance, Tukey test, Mann-whitney U test, Kruskal-Wallis analysis of variance, Mann-Whitney U test, the frequency and average number of SD accounts are applied. To determine the reliability of Cronbach Alpha coefficients is used and also to investigate the relationship between them, method of Pearson Correlation Analysis is performed. The importance factor is accepted as p<0.05 for all statictical analyses. In the research, it is clarified that, nurses percieve low level of quality of work life (?=114.6±17.8) and commitment to the organization is determined as ?=4.4±1.1 in first degree and ?=3.8±0.9 in second degree which mean that they commit to the organization. There is positive correlation between quality of professional life and organizational commitment (p<0.05). Suggestions have been made on the shed of results in the research.
