Abstract (EN)

This relational and descriptive research was conducted with the intention of evaluating the effect of the perception of justice during performance evaluation on the nurses? intentions of quitting in a university hospital setting in Ankara. The study which was conducted with this intention, consists of two parts. In the first section; literature research on organizational justice, performance evaluation process and the intent of quitting was performed. In the second part, the effect of the perceived sense of justice during the performance evaluation on the intent of quitting was analyzed. In the hospital which was selected as a sample for this research, questionaire forms were distributed to the nurses who had accepted to participate in the study and data from 404 nurses was thoroughly collected. The results of the study has revealed that; there is a statistically significant relationship (p<0.05) between the intent of quitting and age, years in the job/institution, level of education, work hours, the position of the employee, the state of the age of the evaluator with respect to the employee. This study has concluded that there is a statistically negative relationship between the intent of quitting and the total perceived sense of justice regarding the performance evaluation process (p<0.01) and there is a statistically negative significant relationship between the intent of quitting and only the perception interpersonal-interactive justice (p<0.05). For this purpose employees, increasing their motivation and performance of their turnover intention to reduce, fairness of reward systems and career plans should be reviewed.Key words: Perception, organizational justice, performance evaluation, intention to quit job, hospital, nurse
