Abstract (EN)

The rapidly growing world population is putting pressure on the available food, fuel and raw material resources to fulfil essential needs. When it comes to reducing the changes in the climate system, it is necessary to examine the effects of microorganism applications, which is an environmentalist approach, on the agricultural system. 4 different bacterial species (Bacillus pumilus, Pseudomonas fluorescens, Methylobacterium sp. and Halobacterium sp.) DAP and 9-21-0+15 OM fertilisers were coated. In addition to providing an industrial perspective on the current status of these species, agricultural trials were also carried out. Challenges associated with the successful laboratory production and commercialisation of strains with potential impact in the agricultural sector were detailed and research was carried out to find solutions. Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), one of the world's most important cereal crops in terms of production and consumption, was studied as a model plant within the scope of the project. Dose determination studies were carried out in Toros Tarım A.Ş. R&D greenhouse and the agricultural potential of microorganism groups was determined. In this thesis, the effects of microbial fertilisers developed using microorganisms known to have different benefits on agricultural productivity and environmental sustainability were investigated. Microbial fertilisers colonise the root zone of the plant and provide more efficient uptake of nutrients by the plant and promote biochemical processes that support plant growth. In this study, the effects of microbial fertilisers on plant growth and different parameters were evaluated and the findings showed that microbial fertilisers have significant potential in agricultural applications. It was determined that the formation of microbial fertiliser formulations by lyophilisation method and homogeneous coating of microorganisms on DAP and organomineral fertiliser granules provided yield increase. In addition, according to regression analysis in the yield results of direct applications of microorganisms, there was no difference between the species, and an increase was obtained from the 0.1 dosege compared to the 0.3 dosege. The results obtained show that microbial fertilisers offer an environmentally friendly alternative to chemical fertilisers and their combined use provides an important solution.
