Abstract (EN)
Blockchain is a recently featured cryptography-based technology. This technology, which has many applications, especially in the finance sector, has been used in the tourism and accommodation industry recently. However, few studies have been conducted on the uses of this new technology in the tourism and hospitality industry. Having a great potential, blockchain applications can provide benefits in many areas from payment security to employee satisfaction and customer satisfaction in the tourism sector. Therefore, it is of great importance to investigate the current blockchain applications in the tourism sector and to determine their opinions about this application. This thesis study is designed as a literature review and evaluation of employee views. Block chain applications in tourism will be examined and presented with descriptive research method, which is among the quantitative research methods. This thesis of both on a global scale and is thought to shed light on the tourism industry in the context of Turkey to the accommodation block chain applications.
