Abstract (EN)
This study was carried out to determine the effects of injection of different levels of glucose and vitamin C on broiler eggs on hatchability, chick weight and chick length. The study was carried out in a commercial hatchery located in Eşme district of Uşak, using 600 fertile broiler eggs (Cobb 500). Six experimental groups were formed in the study. Control group; no solution was injected. Negative control group; 0.1ml of deionized water was injected. Glucose (10 mg) group; 0.1 ml of deionized water solution containing 10 mg of glucose was injected. Glucose (15 mg) group; 0.1ml of deionized water containing 15mg glucose was injected. Vitamin C (3 mg) group; 0.1 deionized water containing 3 mg of vitamin C was injected. Vitamin C (6 mg) group; 0.1 deionized water containing 6 mg of vitamin C was injected. After the eggs were divided into experimental groups, they were incubated. Incubation conditions (temperature, humidity, rotation, ventilation) were set automatically in the hatchery incubator. Fertility control was performed on the 18th day of incubation, and eggs with infertile and dead embryos were taken from the trays. Six experimental groups were formed with 100 fertile eggs in each group. 0.1 ml of deionized water containing glucose and vitamin C at doses determined according to the experimental groups was applied to the air sac of the eggs on the 18th day of hatching. After the incubation process was completed, the number of live chicks in each group, chick weight and chick length were measured. As a result of the study, there was a statistically significant difference between the hatching power and chick weight between the experimental groups, but no statistically significant difference was found between the experimental groups in terms of chick length. In summary; It was determined that up to 10 mg glucose injection and up to 6 mg vitamin C injection had higher hatching characteristics in broiler chickens without adversely affecting the chick weight and chick length parameters except glucose (15 mg) experimental group. It is very important for the chick to use nutrients optimally in the first days in terms of a healthy start in life and early performance. In ovo feeding is a technique that may provide the best results for broiler breeders who have difficulty passing sufficient nutrients to the eggs. At this point, in ovo feeding can provide corrective nutritional composition for the eggs and compensate for the nutrient deficiencies of the chicks.
