Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out in Burdur ecological conditions in 2020. In the study, it was aimed to determine the effects of different nitrogenous fertilizer types and doses on the fresh ear yield, characteristics affecting the yield and quality in Vega F1 sweet corn cultivar. The research was established in randomized bloc split plots with 3 replications. In the study, fertilizer types [Nitropower 33 (33%), urea (46%) and UTEC (46%)] were applied to the main plots, and nitrogen doses (15, 20 and 25 kg/da) were applied to the sub-plots. In addition, 10 kg of phosphorus (P2O5) was applied with sowing. According to results, effects of fertilizer types on ear number, husked and unhusked fresh ear yield, and effects of doses on ear length, kernel number per ear and crude protein ratio were found to be statistically significant. In addition, it was determined that the effects of fertilizer types and doses on other characteristics (ear diameter, husked and unhusked ear weight, number of rows per ear and dry matter ratio) were found to be statistically insignificant except for plant height. As a result, considering fresh ear yield, the highest yield was obtained when UTEC (slow release) fertilizer variety and 20 kg nitrogen per decare were applied to Vega F1 sweet corn variety in Burdur ecological conditions.
