Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out in 2022 to calculate the biodiversity parameters of epigean insect species in three different regions with different geographical conditions. Three different altitudes were chosen as the study area. Anise and fennel agro-ecosystems were selected in each region and pitfall traps were placed in these areas. Traps were checked weekly and species were collected. During the study, 2086 individuals belonging to a total of 117 epigean insect species, mainly from the Carabidae (Coleoptera) family, were identified. The results of Shannon-Wiener diversity were determined highest in Ta with 2.7893 and lowest in anise planted field (Ca) in Çaylı Mountain Village with 2.1775. Simpson diversity results were also calculated in similar with Shannon-Wiener diversity index results, with 0.9196 at the highest Ta and 0.7813 at the lowest Ca. According to Simpson's dominance measurement, Ca was found to be the agro-ecosystem with the highest dominance with 0.2187. Both Shannon and Simpson population density relationship calculations showed that the population densities of epigean species living in fields cultivated with fennel (Bf) and anise (Ba) in Beyköy Plain are more balanced than in other agro-ecosystems. Contrary to expectations, percent similarity analysis showed that agro-ecosystems selected in different geographical regions were similar to each other, regardless of plant pattern. It was observed that Epigean insect species assemblages did not show distribution according to plant pattern and were not directly related to plants. The epigean insect species sampled are seen to be affected by the altitude.
