Abstract (EN)

In this study, a total of 20 diameter-height (d-h) models were tested using 74 sample field data taken from natural Brutian pine (Pinus brutia Ten.) stands in the Burdur-Pamucak region. The sample area data was divided into two groups, the first group (n= 50 and nearly 70%) was used to develop models, and the second group (n=24 and nearly 30%) was used to test the developed models. The performances of the developed diameter-height models with two (n=7), three (n=10) or four parameters (n=3) in height estimation were compared using six different criterion values. The most successful results were obtained with the 3-parameter models developed by Seber-Wild, Seber-Wild and 4- parameter model, Zeide, respectively. Similar results were obtained in the evaluation using an independent data set. By using the regression equation developed in this study, it is possible to estimate single tree height with the help of breast height diameter for natural Brutian pine stands with similar characteristics within the region of Pamucak Forest Directorate.
