Abstract (EN)
The study examined the relationships between levels of physical activity, musculoskeletal disorders and nutritional habits in working adults. The study also examined whether physical activity, musculoskeletal disorders and nutritional habits differed according to some variables such as age, gender, marital status, educational status and years of work. The universe of the research consists of adult individuals in all institutions and organizations working under the Governorship in Rize province. The sample consists of 406 adult individuals (n=189 female, n=217 male) from this universe who accepted to participate in the research voluntarily. In the study, data were collected by applying a questionnaire form to the participants selected through convenience sampling. In the questionnaire form, "Cornell Musculoskeletal Disorders Questionnaire", "International Physical Activity Questionnaire Short Form" and "Nutrition Knowledge Level Scale" were used along with "Personal Information Form". The data obtained from the thesis study were analyzed using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) 27.0 program and JASP 0.16.2. The significance level was taken as (p<0.05) for all tests and the significance levels were interpreted according to the effect size. T-Test was used for independent groups, and Mann Whitney U test was used in non-parametric tests. In comparisons of three or more groups, One-Way ANOVA was used in parametric tests, and Kruskal Wallis H test was used in non-parametric tests. The relationships between the concepts were determined by Spearman correlation test. According to the findings, it was observed that there was a weak negative relationship between musculoskeletal disorders and physical activity. Similarly, it was observed that individuals with higher physical activity levels experienced lower levels of musculoskeletal disorders. As a result; it was seen that variables such as gender, marital status, and years of work were effective factors on dependent variables.
