Abstract (EN)
The main purpose of this thesis is to investigate the effect of servant leadership perceptions of employees on intrapreneurship tendencies and the mediating role of internal branding practices in this effect. At the same time, another aim of the study is to investigate whether there is a difference in servant leadership, intrapreneurship tendency, and internal branding practices with regards to demographic characteristics of employees. The scope of this research is health sector workers operating in Kocaeli. The survey method was used as the data collection method in the research. The research uses Servant Leadership Assessment Instrument of Mühittinoğlu (2018), İntrapreneurship Tendency Instrument of Selva and Arslan (2015), and İnternal Branding Instrument of Düğer and Taşkın (2017) for data collection. Valid questionnaires were collected in 2022 by 436 white-collar volunteer employees working in various health institutions. SPSS and AMOS software programs were used to analyze the data obtained in the study. Structural equation modeling is used as the analysis method. In the analysis, descriptive statistics, Mann Whitney U, and Kruskal-Wallis H analyzes were primarily made. Following that, CFA analysis was performed for the validity and reliability of the scales. As a result of CFA, it is concluded that servant leadership, internal branding, and intrapreneurship tendency scales are valid and reliable in Turkey. After the CFA process, the research hypotheses were tested using Spearman Correlation analysis and path analysis. In line with the data obtained, it was found that servant leadership perceptions employees had positive and significant effects on intrapreneurship tendencies and internal branding practices. According to the research findings, it has been determined that the servant leadership style perceived by the employees affects the intrapreneurship tendency of the employees with the emotional support and healing dimension, and the internal branding practices with the behaving ethically dimension. In addition, the hypothesis developed as internal branding practices have a mediating role in the effect of servant leadership perceptions employees on intrapreneurship tendencies it could not be accepted. Another result that has been obtained is some scale and/or sub-dimension scores differed according to demographic characteristics of employees such as gender, type of job at the workplace, working time in the institution, and the type of sector. The integrated model of the research bears an original quality that guides researchers and practioners. İn this respect, it contributes to the management literature.
