Abstract (EN)

The aim of this thesis is to determine the physical risk factors originating from environmental conditions in the classrooms of Uşak University Engineering Faculty, EN12665: 2011 (light and lighting regulations), EN12464-1: 2011 (workplace lighting regulation), ASHRAE 55-2010 (workplace thermal environmental conditions standard), EN15251 : Review and propose solutions for compliance with the limit values set by the Ministry of Labor, Social Services and the Ministry of the Interior, 2006 (indoor parameters), ISO 7730: 2015 (ergonomics standards for thermal cycling), ASHRAE 62-1999 (relative humidity standards) . For the purpose of the study, measurements were made to determine noise intensity, lighting intensity, thermal comfort values for classrooms. When the measurement results are examined, it is determined that the air flow rate is lower than the defined value which is caused by the absence of the ventilation system in this case. It has been determined that other parameters determined for indoor quality are in accordance with the relevant standard and limit values accepted in the Ministry of Interior. It has been observed that the central air conditioning system used is inadequate in terms of air flow rate, the ideal air flow rate is achieved either by mechanical intervention when the air conditioner is on or by opening windows and doors when the air conditioner is off.
