Can the coronavirus lead to diabetes? A study of the clinical relationship between diabetes and COVID-19

A COVID-19 disease may lead to a multitude of significant, sometimes enduring health concerns, such lung damage, organ damage and continuing cardiac troubles. Recently, research has revealed it may also trigger the abrupt development of auxin diabetes. Diabetes (DM) is a prevalent endocrine condition generally recognized as a chronic condition, and since the advent of COVID-19, some research has been done to investigate the association between diabetes and the virus. The aim of this thesis is to demonstrate the potential contribution of COVID-19 to the development of diabetes. The study proved the opposite, that people with diabetes have an increased chance of contracting the Coronavirus. People with diabetes are more likely to have a severe clinical course of COVID-19 and a higher mortality rate. The results of the present work showed that there is a positive relationship between FBS and D-Dimer with age, and there is no relationship between weight, HbA1c, and C-peptide with each other, and a positive relationship was observed between insulin and D-Dimer, the positive relationship between CRP and D-Dimer was recorded with FBS, a strong positive relationship was recorded between CRP and D-Dimer, and a positive relationship between age, FBS, and CRP with D-Dimer level, and a negative relationship between D-Dimer and insulin was tabulated. In general, diabetic patients appear to have a slightly increased sensitivity to SARS-Covid-19 infection. Keywords: COVID-19, Diabetes, Hba1c
