Investigation of using limestones as aggregate source around Capar village (Şabanözü, Çankiri)

In this thesis, the usability of the limestones around Çapar village (Şabanözü, Çankırı) as aggregate was investigated. For this purpose, limestone samples were taken from the vicinity of Çapar village and on the samples taken, sieve analysis, specific gravity, water absorption, bulk density, very fine material content, flatness index, methylene blue, disintegration strength, abrasion resistance, freeze-thaw, alkali-silica reactivity, acid soluble sulfate, total sulfur tests were carried out. As a result, when the results of the tests performed on aggregates obtained from the limestone quarry around Çapar village (Şabanözü, Çankırı) are compared with the limit values given in the standards. The usability of all properties of these rocks as aggregates was determined.
