Abstract (EN)

Reinforced concrete walls are widely used in the world and our country. The walls can show more stable behavior than the frame structural systems. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate earthquake behavior and quantity takeoff of frame structures and frame – wall structures. In this thesis, static analysis and quantity takeoff of reinforced concrete frame structural systems and wall-frame structural systems are made under vertical and horizontal loads. Comparisons are made for five types of structures. Structures with reinforced concrete frames and walls are designed per DBYBHY – 2007 and TS500 standards. The structures have one ground floor and ten typical floors. All stories have 2,80 meters of height. The static analysis is made by ideCAD 7 static analysis program. This master thesis consists of six chapters. General information about structural systems and construction of reinforced concrete wall's rules are explained in this study. Quantity takeoff of structures, floor displacement and story drifts, the weight of structures, the base shear forces and second order effects are compared and discussed. The results of numerical evaluations are summarized and suggestions are given. Key Words : Frame, Wall, Frame – wall systems
