Abstract (EN)

Professional development is an active process for teachers who learn and update themselves. Continuing professional development is learning that continues throughout the professional life of teachers. Formal and informal online learning communities are also among continuing professional development activities. Online learning communities make a great contribution to the professional development process. The aim of this study is to determine the views of classroom teachers on the effects of online learning communities on professional development. The research consists of 150 classroom teachers working in primary schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in the center and some districts of Kastamonu in the 2018-2019 academic year. The study is a descriptive research designed according to the qualitative research method. In the research, data were collected using a semi-structured questionnaire developed by the researcher. Content analysis method was used in the analysis of the obtained data.
