Abstract (EN)

IV ABSTRACT While being the most important value, knowledge is developing and variying in a growing pace in these days. The ones who want to use this increasingly growing knowledge are in search of creating new ways. Continuously developing technology and the increasing needs are causing visualising and the visual communication to come forth. Rapidly growing arts such as photography and cinema which are the results of these, have gained new possibilities. The art of animation that is based on these arts has begun nourishing in nearly every area of life with developing and changing. Animation using not only photography and the art of cinema but also painting and the graphical design, exhibits a different development process. Spreading on many areas and sectors, animation has found rapid influential possibilities. Although this development process progresses positively, there are problems that occur. One of the most important problem is, not being able to seize the importance of pointing out the manner of the film and not being careful in producing the atmosphere and the settings. Briefly, it may be summarized as not noticing that the film making process can be best seen and formed as a whole in the layout stage. This problem appears as a property and understanding which is hard to overcome in all animation film making techniques such as traditional, puppet, three dimensional computer, sand and etc. The study examines the necessity of the layout stage which throws itself against one of the most important duties in the traditional animation film making. The main purpose is, while presenting the technical knowledge that will be needed during the layout stage, defining and qualifying examples and the layout folder which appears as a result of the stage.
