Abstract (EN)

While the narratives that describe the desired ideal social order in detail are called utopias; Dystopia is a genre in which social orders that are avoided, undesirable and arousing fear due to the elements of oppression and violence are described. In a fictional plane dominated by an authoritarian state or another power element; There is an obedient society structure that is managed and expected to obey the rules. The struggle of the ruling and the ruled section provides the development of the events in the fiction. In works with dystopian fiction, there are situations that can deeply affect society such as wrong policies, economic depressions, epidemics, destruction of nature and the environment. The criticism of the events that may cause these situations is made implicitly and it is seen that these criticisms are related to future concerns. In the study, the copyrighted works of Suzanne Collins, one of the writers of world children's and youth literature, named "The Hunger Games", "Catching Fire", "Mockingjay" in the "Hunger Games" series selected as a simple random sample, will be determined as a result of the examinations. will be analyzed according to dystopian fiction codes. The data obtained by the content analysis technique will be evaluated in the context of the boundaries of the dystopian genre. The purpose of content analysis is to reach common codes from the frequently repeated cases in the collected data and to examine the selected sample within the scope of these codes. It is thought that this research will help determine the boundaries of dystopian genre in children's and youth literature.
