Abstract (EN)
Vancomycin Rezistans enterococcus colonization, moleculer Epidemyology andRisc Factors in Pediatric İntensive Care UnitEnterococcus is constant component especially in the colon flora. However,Enterococcus colonization have seen oropharynx, urethra, vagina, hepatobiliary systemand skin surface at least 25% healthy people.The microorganism which is low-virulentad some intrinsic resistance toantibiotics have developed resistance to glycopeptide antibiotics, particularly inEuropean countries since 1986 all over the world. Hospital-acquired infection (Such asurinary tract infection, surgical wound infection and bacteremia) caused byEnterococcus has seen in increasing frequency. This frequency has caused a serioustreatment failure of infections caused by the strains, changes in treatment guidelines,development of new regulation (Vankomisin Rezistan Enterokok take into account) andserious epidemiological studies.On the other hand, Community-acquired Vankomisin Rezistan Enterokokcolonization increased due to irrational use of broad-spectrum antibiotics and avoparcin,a glycopeptide used in food production.Vankomisin Rezistan Enterokok colonized people addmited to the hospital causeendogenous and exogenous source for nosocomial infections and transfer of resistancegene to gram-positive microorganism such as staphylococcus.İn this study, incidence Vankomisin Rezistan Enterokok and enterococcus in thecommunity and possible clonal relationship between isolates of colonized patients withnosocomial innfection cused Vankomisin Rezistan Enterokok in Pediatric İntensiveCare Unit have been investigated.For this purpose, a total of 49 enterococcus isolates were evaluated which wereobtained from 246 ear, navel and rectal swab specimens take from 82 patient in thePediatric İntensive Care Unit Balcalı Hospital. First of all, 49 isolates were analysed :Pulsed Field Gel Electrophoresis methods and investigated clonal relationship. On theother hand, Polymerase chain reaction methods was applied 14 vancomycin resistanceenterococcus for presence VanA ve VanB gene cluster.As a result, Clonal relationship could not founded in 49 enterococcus isolates. Atotal of Vancomycine resistance 14 isolates , 11 were indicated VanA gene.Keywords: VRE, PFGE, VanA, Colonization
