Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study, secondary school geography classes, case-based learning methods applied in the academic achievements of students to investigate the effect.This spring semester of the academic year 2009-2010 for research in Kastamonu province's 10 school districts based on Savi Saime Inal grade students were selected randomly. Study of high school 10th grade students in the experimental group consisted of Savi Saime Inal. Researchers concerned with migration issues in the curriculum of the educational achievements of students in the control group, conventional methods, the experimental group students by using case-based learning has been operated.As data collection tool, geography lesson achievement test and attitude scale used in this scale and testing, application testing and application front end before the last test was given in the experimental and control group students. Research data analysis, student achievement tests and geography lessons for the attitude scale responses of the frequencies, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and independent groups t test to calculate the SPSS Statistical Package Program were used to.The results obtained from the findings, case-based learning method is applied in the experimental group students 'academic achievement and geography lesson against attitudes, traditional learning method is applied in the control group students' academic achievement and geography lesson between attitudes in the experimental group in favor of a significant difference was revealed.Key words: Case-Based Learning, Geography Education, Immigration
