Abstract (EN)

There are two purpose of this research. Firstly, understanding sensivity to reward in substance dependency. Secondly, examining possible effects of long term substance on executive functions (working memory, planning, theory of mind). For this purpose polysubstance user (12 M /8 F) and non-substance user (12 M /8 F) group's scores compared with BIS/BAS, İ5KPK (İstanbul 5 Cube Planning Tower), Rey Complex Figure Test and Recognition Trial, Reading The Mind İn The Eyes Test. According to BIS/BAS scale's BAS dimension polysubstance users have high score in compliance with non-substance users which is expected because of sensitivity to reward. At the same time, according to İ5KPK, RCFT and Reading the Mind in the Eyes Test, polysubstance users have low score in comparison with non-substance users which is expected because of psychoactive substances's effects on dopaminergic system. According to comparison between findings of two group's performance scores psychoactive drug users have significantly high scores in compliance with non-users on BİS/BAS scale's BAS dimension. At the same time there are significant differences between substance user group in neuropsychological test performances which are RCFT and İ5KP. Findings as a result of analysis discussed pursuant to previous findings of researchs.
