Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between intolerance to uncertainty and psychological well-being from university students during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The Coronavirus epidemic, which emerged in Wuhan province of China and affected the whole world, entered our lives with an uncertainty. We were all very anxious because we did not know how it was infected and its treatment for a while and it causes serious deaths. This research was applied to 600 university students as an online survey. Statistical analysis of 574 people was made when the under-filled ones were excluded from the survey. Sociodemographic Information Form, ''Coronavirus 19 Phobia Scale'', ''Uncertainty Intolerance Scale'' and ''Psychological Well-being Scale'' were applied in this study. As a result of the research, according to the multiple linear regression analysis; It was revealed that high monthly income predicted psychological well-being positively, while having a past history of psychological discomfort predicted it negatively. When the correlations between the total scores of the sub-dimension of the scale of psychological well-being and intolerance to uncertainty were examined, it was found that there was only a negative and weak relationship with inhibitory anxiety. When the total scores of the ''Coronavirus 19 Phobia Scale'' were compared, it was revealed that women had significantly higher scores than men. It was found that the scores of those who do not drink alcohol are significantly higher than those who use alcohol. When the total scores of the "Intolerance of Uncertainty Scale" were compared, it was found that the scale scores of non-smokers were high. In addition, it was revealed that the scores of people using drugs were also significantly higher. When the total scores of the participants on the "Intolerance of Uncertainty Scale" were compared; It was found that there was a significant relationship between the groups according to gender and number of siblings. It was found that women scored higher than men, those with 1 siblings scored higher than those without siblings. When the correlations between the participants ''Coronavirus 19 Phobia Scale'' and ''Uncertainty Intolerance Scale'' sub-dimensions and total scores were examined; It was found that there was a significant positive correlation between all scores. It was found that there was no significant relationship between the participants' total score of ''Psychological Well-Being'' and the ''Coronavirus 19 Phobia'' sub-dimension and total scores.
