A sociological overview of the social impacts of the COVID-19 pandemia in Turkey

The Covid-19 pandemic has affected societies since the day it emerged. The impacts of the relevant process can be similar or different. The detections from different sections regarding social impacts continue to be made. However, diligence on societal impacts still maintains and will continue to be important for the necessary precautions, implementations, and preparations. This study focuses on a sociological assessment of the social effects of the Covid-19 pandemic in Turkey between 2020-2022. The subject is evaluated through the data obtained from the literature review. The study consists of five parts. In the first part, the introduction section takes attentions to orginality of the research subject. In the second section, the subject of the research, the purpose, the importance of the research, its place among similar existing studies, the method, analysis, and limits of the research are included. In the third part, the definition of disaster, types of disaster, the concept of biological disaster, the relationship between the pandemic and Covid-19, disaster processes, managed, risk, crisis, chaos, danger, resilient community, vulnerability, multiple disasters, and disaster culture concepts are evaluated in general. In the fourth part, there is an evaluation of the data obtained through the example of Turkey in the context of Covid-19 and its social effects. Finally, a general evaluation was made in the conclusion part. The findings reveal that social influence is in question from many different angles and in terms of different groups. The importance of carrying out the studies to be carried out with applied analytical studies to the details of those determined by this study has emerged. The shape-shifting variants of Corona also reveal the need for a systematic and detailed study of the subject.
