Analysis of Almila Aydın's children's novels in the context of values education

In this research, it is aimed to examine the selected books of Almıla AYDIN, one of the last period children's literature writers, in terms of values education. In the research, it is aimed to determine which and how often the values of justice, friendship, honesty, self-control, patience, love, responsibility, patriotism, benevolence, which are among the 10 root values determined by the Ministry of National Education in the Turkish Language and Literature Curriculum in 2017, are included in the works. forms. Mysterious Words, Stranger in the Mansion, Codes of the Ancient City, Secret in the Temple, Sapphire Stone Mask, In Search of Adventure, Palmiye Street No:5, Tenants of the Old House, Hidden Treasure and Diamond Brooch were analyzed. The selected books appeal to children at the secondary school level. Document analysis method was used in the research. The data of the research were evaluated by content analysis. The values in the books were determined and the data obtained were noted. Values were defined and the messages in the analyzed works were reflected in the table of each value with their page numbers. It has been determined that friendship value is processed the most among 10 root values. Messages related to the responsibility value were found less frequently than other values.
