Abstract (EN)

This study examines the potential applications and encountered challenges of utilizing the Philosophy for Children (P4C) approach in values education. P4C, developed by Matthew Lipman, is an educational approach aimed at fostering critical, creative, and ethical thinking skills in children. The research analyzes how P4C can be employed in values education and addresses its feasibility, limitations, and the challenges encountered in its implementation. Conducted using a qualitative research methodology, the study employs document analysis as its primary method. The findings indicate that P4C holds significant potential for values education; however, certain limitations and challenges hinder its effective implementation. Key issues include teacher training, cultural differences, the suitability of instructional materials, and inadequacies in educational policies. In conclusion, while the potential contribution of P4C to values education is emphasized, it is also noted that more critical studies are needed in this field. Recommendations are provided to address the challenges encountered in utilizing this approach within values education.
