The investigation about behaviours related to foreign language anxiety of the students attending the state schools

In this study, it is aimed to predict the foreign language anxiety of secondary and high school students. With this purpose, it is targeted to determine to what extent gender, attendind ro not attending to foreign language school, locality, foreign language achievement predict foreign language anxiety directly and indirectly. SPSS 17.0 statistical programming was used at data evaluation. The sample of this study consisted of some students who are attending to some secondary and some high schools in Uşak centre in the academic year of 2018-2019. Data was gathered by using Foregin Language Classroom Anxiety Scal's revision developed by Aydın (1999). At the end of the study it is found out that the students have low level of foreign language learning anxiety. And it is also found that there is statistically significant negative result between the foreign language learning anxiety and the school achievement of the students. Accordingly, the students' foreign language learning anxiety gets decreased as the school achievement of the students increase.
