Abstract (EN)
The effort to find the prominent in political, social, economic and cultural terms has paved the way for the formation of utopia. In this sense, utopia can be defined as the necessary social order. All the steps taken in the way of what should be, turn into what should not be, as time passes by, and become a dystopia. Therefore, dystopia can be defined as the order of domination that arises when acting with the motivation of realizing purely utopian goals. In dystopias, a society is usually depicted under the pressure of totalitarian and dominating powers. In this sense, totalitarian and dominating powers abolish freedom in various forms, private space and privacy in order to preserve their own existence and achieve the ideal order they aim at. In this thesis, the relationship between dystopia and private space was examined first by deciphering dystopia and private space, and then by addressing important issues in the context of dystopia and private space.
