Abstract (EN)

When D.M. patients aged 11-80 were compared to the control group aged 11-80, findings were obtained showing that D.M. patients had worse hearing. When examined according to age groups, the hearing values at high frequencies above 8000 Hz in the Type 1 D.M. patient group were significantly different from the hearing of the control group of the same age. According to the information we obtained from the literature, this situation gives early signs of hearing loss. Hearing loss affecting high frequencies was also found in Type 1 DM. Multiple repetitions and CAS at the age of 30-40. While hearing loss is important, aging and CAS symptoms are also important. Hearing loss is seen at all frequencies. It decreases. Therefore, D.M. patients need to take precautions from an early age to protect their hearing. Hearing loss was observed in all cases over the age of 65, regardless of DM. It may or may not happen. It is thought that the degeneration process brought about by aging is effective here. It was found that the duration of diabetes, the type of treatment, the presence and severity of neuropathy, hypertension and macroangiopathic findings were associated with hearing loss. However, no relationship was found between retinopathy and nephropathy and hearing loss.
