The effect of diabetes school education on quality of life in nursing diabetic of life

This research has been planned to have pretest- posttest control groups and has been done experimentally on 100 patients who applied to Mardin Kızıltepe Public Hospital Internal Diseases and Diabetes polyclinic and meet the criteria. The purpose of this research is to analyze the affect of diabetes school education on the life quality of individuals who have diabetes."Socio- Demographic and Diabetes Related Question Form" and "Ferrans and Powers Quality of Life Index Diabetes Version- III" has been used as the data collection tools on this research. The collected data has been analyzed by using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) for Windows 22.0. Ferrans and Powers Quality of Life Index Diabetes Version's sub dimensions has been examined with Sociodemographic attributes, diabetes related attributes, diabetic parameter attributes of the individuals in the experiment and control group and there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups.Ferrans and Powers Quality of Life Index's total score and the scores of its sub dimensions has been calculated.In the sub dimensions of Ferrans and Powers Quality of Life Index, health, functional situation, social and economic situation, physiological and moral situation and family situation contents have also been calculated individually. Quality of life total score has been compared within experiment and control groups. In the experiment group; compared to the former quality of life total score (x̄=16,18) there has been a rise (x̄=16,46) which has been found statistically significant (p=0,02<0,05). In the control group; compared to the former quality of life total score (x̄=16,50) there has been a decrease (x̄=16,12) which has been found statistically significant (p=0,00<0,05).
