The investigation of nutrient element contents of some legume forage crops naturally grown in different areas in Diyarbakır province

This study was carried out on pastures and forage lands of Diyarbakır province surroundings as four locations in 2011-2012 growing seasons. In the study, some legume forage species (Trifolium, Vicia, Lathyrus, Astragalus) were collected at blooming stages and some of macro and micro nutrients were determined. According to study results in the micro and macro elements rations of Trifolium, Vicia, Lathyrus and Astragalus were determined respectively 0.13 - 0.74 %, 0.18 - 0.63 %, 0.18 - 0.57 %, 0.24 - 0.58 % in phosphorus (P); 0.38 - 5.31 %, 0.10 - 5.84 %, 0.72 - 4.43 %, 0.36 - 4.98 % in potassium (K); 0.02 - 1.28 %, 0.08 - 1.02 %, 0.19 - 0.71 %, 0.37 - 0.75 % in calcium (Ca); 0.12 - 0.52 %, 0.10 - 0.54 %, 0.21 - 0.43 %, 0.20 - 0.49 % in magnesium (Mg); 0.99 - 18.81 µg/g, 0.93 - 15.85 µg/g, 0.64 - 13.83, 1.49 - 12.15 µg/g in copper (Cu); 0.27 - 12.30 µg/g, 0.76 - 8.85 µg/g, 2 - 8.91 µg/g, 0.58 - 8.12 µg/g in nickel (Ni); 0.02 - 1.11 µg/g, 0.06 - 0.91 µg/g, 0.24 - 0.85 µg/g, 0.30 - 0.96 µg/g in selenium (Se); 0.02 - 1.14 µg/g, 0.09 - 1.30 µg/g, 0.05 - 1.06 µg/g, 0.39 - 0.68 µg/g in chrome (Cr); 6.81 - 35.64 µg/g, 7.81 - 21.90 µg/g, 9.72 - 23.01 µg/g, 16.02 - 30.81 µg/g in mangenese (Mn); 7.01 - 42.99 µg/g, 4.90 - 56.94 µg/g, 4.43 - 35.23 µg/g, 10.05 - 21.86 µg/g in zinc (Zn). While the macro and micro elements with the studied species were determined in normal values parallel to the literatures, the phosphorus was obtained a little bit higher in some Trifolium species. Besides this potassium was determined at critical level (upper limit) in some Vicia species in comparison with the other species. In addition to this, it is observed that the mangenese rations with studied species were found lower than the literature findings.
