Abstract (EN)

In this study, the usability of feed rations prepared based on different proportions (0.5%, 1% and 2%) of black cumin (Nigella sativa L., 1758) in the nutrition of Helix aspersa maxima (MULLER 1774) and the bacteriological load in their digestive systems, Histological, antioxidant activities and biochemical effects were investigated. In the study, 600 H. aspersa maxima, with an average weight of 15 g±0.01, were fed with feed containing 0.5%, 1% and 2% of black cumin for 30 days. As a result of the research, the lowest weight was observed in the control group, while the highest weight gain was observed in the black cumin 0.5% and 1% groups (p<0.05). At the end of the experiment, the total number of mesophilic aerobic bacteria (TMAB) in the muscle and digestive system was examined. It was found to be 1.621 log/g in the muscle in the groups fed 0.5% of black cumin, while it was 1.773 log/g in the intestine in the groups fed 0.5% of black cumin. In the groups fed with black cumin, muscle, intestine and hepatopancreas tissues were examined histologically. While the cells were normal in the control group, histopathological findings were observed in the organs of those fed with diets containing different black cumin seeds, in parallel with the increase in dose. By examining the levels of superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT) and malondialdehyde (MDA) in the hepatopancreas of H. aspersa maxima, an increase in superoxide dismutase (SOD) and malondialdehyde (MDA) levels and a decrease in catalase (CAT) levels were detected compared to the control group. At the end of the experiment, for biochemical analysis, alanine transaminase (ALT), gamma glutamyl transferase (GGT), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), albumin (ALB), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and glucose levels were examined in the hepatopancreas and black cumin added H.aspersa maxima. It was found to have a positive effect compared to the control group. When feeding with feed containing black cumin is examined in the light of current findings, it is thought that it can be given up to 1%.
