Material development in Turkish language teaching for fourth and fifth classes

11 ABSTRACT The main target of the Turkish lectures is to provide skills on speaking, writing, reading, and grammar to students. Teaching activities through the education in order to improve the skills of students is going to ease learning. Efforts to improve teaching materials and usage of tools in the teaching activities take an important place in order to increase students' skills. Education materials adequate with subjects, aims of lectures, and level of students for each lecture have become a mandatory. Turkish lecture education and training in the 4th and 5th years students in the primary schools have been chosen as the subject of this thesis. The main parts of this thesis are the used aids for teaching Turkish, Turkish language education and material development for 4th and 5th grade students, and developed education materials for Turkish language education for 4th and 5th grade students. In addition to these, some information on developing education materials for and computer usage on Turkish language education have been given. Some shortages and suggestions under the light of these information have bee introduced in the conclusion. In our research the importance of technology usage in education takes also a part. The relationship between Turkish education program and using aids in the education and development of educational aids have been emphasized. What the features of a teaching aid must be for 4th and 5th grade students who take Turkish language education have been determined and these materials have been concretized with some examples. The possibilities on the important developments that can be achieved in the case of collaboration between professionals on Turkish education and teaching technologies have been discussed. Some explanations and advantages of the in-service training courses on the subject of application of technologies in education take also place in this work.
