World class manufacturing and a logistics implimentation

Although the early steps of automobile manufacturing started by 1900 at America and Europe, after 1970 Japan manufactures has taken the leadership with lean management. World class manufacturing, which is a new version of lean management was first practised by Japans after 1995 and started to be used by different manufacturing plants all over the world. In this view, in first section, lean management philosophy, waste and value definitions are given as a base of world class manufacturing. Later on concept of world class manufacturing, its structure, pillars, technics are tried to be figured out in the second section. The economic crisis at America and Europe by 2008 was a brief indicator of losing leadership of manufacturing to Asia. Industry 4.0 is shown as a recovery plan by Germany, to regain the manufacturing leadership to Europe. Hence, in third section, Industry 4.0, its concepts, what it is, is tried to be explained to have a vision of what manufacturing will be like in the future. Specialism and mass production has turned futher countries into markets. Logistics and its concept has became more and more important as a result of global deliveries of the goods. In the final section, logistics activities as a pillar of world class manufacturing will be practised in a manufacturing plant.
