Abstract (EN)
In today's market conditions where the tangible assets of organizations have lost their importance and intangible assets have been more valuable compared to the previous periods, the human capital of the organizations has been prominent in terms of the sustainable competition and competitive advantage. Talented employees are one of the main factors helping to differentiate in competitive and increasingly challenging business environments. In the late 1990s, talent management, one of the contemporary concepts that emerged within the scope of strategic human resources management, was introduced into the existing literature. Even though it is a new concept, organizations have understood its importance and have tried to adapt their HR systems accordingly. Despite of the increasing importance of the concept of talent for organizations, there are lack of academic studies on talent management. In particular, there are relatively limited models at the point of model proposal that constitutes the main framework of the thesis. In this study; existing literature regarding the evolution of human resources management, talent management practices, talent management approaches in the world and in Turkey were reviewed and compiled. Then, in the light of the models in talent management literature, a model proposal is presented.
