Abstract (EN)
This study aims to investigate the impact of assumptions about the world, five personality dimensions, need for absolute truth, sense of uniqueness in religious and non-religious groups on their depression and emotional well-being. The high level randomness assumption, need for absolute truth and openness to experience in religious individuals have significant effects on depression while they do not have any negative effects on non-religious group. On the other hand, low chance assumption and extraversion predict depression in non-religious group when compared with those in the religious group.
