Abstract (EN)

Addiction has emerged as a problem for years and the factors included in addiction have differentiated and varied over time. One of these factors is digital addiction, which has become a major problem in today's world. The fact that people meet many of their daily needs and wishes through the internet or different technologies reveals the state of digital connectivity. Although digital connectedness was initially expressed as a behavioral addiction to technology and internet addiction, nowadays, as a result of the proliferation of technological tools, social platforms and applications connected to the internet such as smartphone, tablet, social media, game addiction, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter addiction is evaluated under different categories. It is stated that digital addiction is spreading very rapidly around the world and has many negative consequences on people's daily life, physical and mental health. This study aimed examine the relationship between digital addiction levels and psychological well-being of individuals who regularly do sports. It has been examined whether there is a significant relationship between psychological well-being and digital addiction in individuals who regularly do sports. The universe of the research of individuals who actively participate in the courses affiliated to The Ministry of Youth and Sports in Batman province and regularly do sports. There were 401 (177 female, 224 male) participants in the current study and their age ranged from 18 to 36 and above. It was determined that there was a significant negative correlation between the total scores of the participants in the sample from the Digital Addiction scale and the Psychological Well-Being scale. As individuals' scores on the Digital Addiction Scale increased, their scores on the Psychological Well-Being Scale decreased. Results showed that It has been shown that individuals who exercise regularly develop resistance against psychological negativities and that regular exercise positively affects the happiness and psychological well-being of individuals.
