With this thesis, it is aimed to examine the working conditions of employees in different business esengaged in tourism activities in the context of Decent Work. In this framework, it is shown to what extent employment, fundamental rights of employees, social security and social dialogue are implemented in the tourism sector, which are the four basic dimensions of Decent Work standards determined by the ILO. Tourism, which is an important part of GDP like 4%, is also a very successful sector in terms of creating employment. Therefore, considering its economic size and the number of employees, this sector has revealed the need to examine the extent to which its employees comply with Decent Work. The field study of the thesis was carried out by conducting in-depth interviews with 25 people with different demographic characteristics working in businesses such as hotels, cafes and restaurants operating in the tourism field in Ayvalık district of Balıkesir, and by applying the participatory observation technique in a hotel by the author.
