Nutritional knowledge levels of e-athletes: A nutritional research survey

Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study; To determine the knowledge level of e-athletes, sports nutrition. A total of 90 e-sportsmen participated in the research. Data; Personal data form and athlete nutrition information scale (SSBS) were collected and evaluated. All of the participants in the study are men. The mean age was determined as 21.8. It was determined that 98.9% of the participants had poor nutritional knowledge, and 1.1% were at an average level. The average athlete nutrition knowledge scale scores of e-athletes are 24.88. The average BMI values of e-athletes were found to be 25.56±0.8 kg/m2. E-sportsmen spend 6.5±0.42 days playing games on the computer. No relationship was found between e-athlethes' athlete nutfition information and league they play. In these study, e-athletes' nutritional knowledge levels are weak and their BMI values show that they are overweight. It is necessary to increase their nutritional knowledge level in order to maximize their performance and to be protected from nutrition-related diseases.
