Abu'l-Hasan al-Ash'arî's Âlem view of the universe

This study takes the Abu'l-Hasan al'Ash'arî's view of the universe and consist of two parts. İn the introduction of our study, which take part aim, content, method, importance and used basic works. Then, is taken first and second part which include basic content. In the first part, is taken the description of existence and nonexistence, variety of existence, nonexistence and relation of thing. In this part describes the existence of philosophers, Islamic philosophers and theologians. The views of the groups we have mentioned about the existence are discussed by comparing them in the context of Ash'arî's views. In the second part, are discussed the issue of universe and elements of the universe. The source of Ash'arî's view of the universe is taken with in this part. In this part, are taken Ash'arî's views on the universe, substance, attribute, matter, space, movement and causality. Ash'arî's view of the universe is revealed by comparing with the views of other theological sects of theology.
