Evaluating the situation of postgraduate education in educational sciences from the perspective of students and academicians

The world in which science and knowledge are continually changed, the lifestyle changes fast, too. Social expectations are not local but under the effect of globalization. The results of researches show that all the level of well-qualified educational activity is an important factor for the future bof society.The way to improve the quality of daily life and to provide sustainable improvement will come true in the light of sources of science and this is on the projection of universities with this survey the progress of mastering on the educational sciences is overviewed and some problems and solutions are given from the participants? point of view with the help of literature data; in this survey participants, who study at different universities in different regions, have had 40 questionaire. This survey is applied to 135 university lecturer and 140 postgraduate students.MethodIn this section, model and pattern of the research statistical technique used in data analysis with the process of data gathering is analysed seperately within the context of quantitative and qualitative features.In data analysis, multiple choice and close-ended question form, given with independent variables such as sort of thesis, gender, age, term of office and department has been evaluated.Dependent and independent variables accompanied by portrayal of statistic, for independent variables ?t? test, single-directed Anova test and in order to identify the level of relations statistic technique such as across matching and comparing are used and while commenting on this study.SamplıngSampling of the research, in order to increase validity of extent and reliability, all parts of sampling thought as the keystone of the research is planned to cover the universities which has doctorate program within 7 geographical regions of Turkey.Results of The SurveyAccording to results;there are some problems about the selection of students to the postgraduate programme such as;lack of students? and lecturers? availability in their own field, the lack of scheduling and some problems on thesis writing, learning environment, contents of the lesson, properties of the thesis. According to results of the surveys it is emphasized that the results of the thesis are parrallel to field study and local study. Most of the participants claimed that the obstacle of the thesis research is corporate culture. It can be conluded that the communication ağabeylity of female academics is higher than male academics. The rate of sex discrimination in postgradute education on educational sciences is close to each other. According to the results 65% of postgraduate students? social life is effected negatively. 76% of the postgraduate students believe that foreign language is important and the studies of postgraduate education is far beyond the studies all over the world also being not aware of the world-wide studies can cause almost similar kind of studies besides in evaluating the postgraduate studies we have to use a similar system as in Europe.Suggestıons?The productivity of lecturers should be increased by means of cutting down the number of lectures.?In order not to influence lecturer?s private and family life,their financial condition should be improved.?The student, who apply for education sciences? postgraduate program, should graduate from related fields.?All information about postgraduate education should be provided to the students before applying.?Academic Postgraduate Education Entrance Exam should be reconstructed and it should include personel traits of students and knowledge of their own fields.?To improve the learning condition of postgraduate education should be taken some precautions.?Within the period of preparing thesis,lecturer and institue should give whole support to the students all the time.?In order to prevent the repetition of the thesis, electronic filling system shoul be used.?In order to prepare ideal condition for lecturer?s private and family life some precautions should be taken.?In postgraduate education ,importance and necessity of the speaking and writing skill of foreign language should be given to the students.?
