A research and an evaluati̇on of international students' perception towards Antalya and Akdeniz Uni̇versity in the context of educational tourism

Nowadays, the need for information is rapidly increasing with the acceleration of changes and transformations. In this context, it's been a necessity to produce, reproduce and use information in all areas. Therefore, there has been an inevitable change in our expectations about education as the basis of our social life. The greatest impact of globalization on the education sector has been to increase international student dynamism. International students make a great contribution to the countries in terms of economy and qualified workforce. For this reason, there has been a competing between all developed countries for increasing international student population. When economies of the countries that are mostly preferred by international students are analyzed, it can be clearly seen that a significant portion of the country's income is provided by international students. As the revenues from international students contribute greatly to the national economy, it is important to convert this issue into a policy implemented by the government. The aims of this study are to find out why national students prefer Antalya and Akdeniz University and whether they recommend them to the other students or not and also whether the reasons differ according to different variables or not. The target population of this study consists of national students studying at Akdeniz University in Antalya. The research was applied to 200 students through convenience sampling among nonprobability sample techniques. While using convenience sampling, the participant group was formed by asking whether they were eligible to participate or not. In this regard, it is thought that the data obtained from the research will contribute to the preparation, implementation, and evaluation of new education programs for adult education in Antalya in the future.
