Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to examine thoroughly the views of classroom teachers about the changes in education from past to present. This study was carried out using the phenomenology design within the framework of qualitative research approach. 14 classroom teachers working in state primary schools make up the study group of this research. Semi-structured interview prepared by the researcher was used as data collection tool in the study. Classroom teachers participating in this study express the concept of change as differentiation, innovation, orientation, advancement, and transition while defining it. Also, the participants state the causes of the changes as modernization/ technology, opportunities, expectations, inaptitude, acting without plan and program, not being appreciated, fastness and obligation. The participants suggested their solutions about changes as equal opportunities, professional respectability, getting support, school culture and economy. As a result, it is aimed to draw attention to the importance of the topic of changes in education up to now by considering the views of classroom teachers.
