The role and contribution of local government in education

The Turkish Ministry of National Education under the direction of the central organization of the education system. Central organization, local and foreign agencies affiliated to the Ministry of National Education. Decentralization trend, with the width of the central government authority over certain decisions of the lower-level government organizations to transfer requested. Local governments accelerate the decision-making process, service efficiency and governance institutions for the dissemination of the culture of democracy. Developments and changes in the understanding of governance at the global level, against the central authority of local governments has to be more autonomous. The administrative reforms, the width of the authority of local governments increased and deepened the contributions of the Turkish education system.Educational systems in the world in comparison with the location of local governments in Turkey analyzed in education system in this thesis, the decentralization trends and administrative regulations of the local governments researching the contribution of the education system.
